Directions: 3496 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain MA 02130 about halfway between the Forest Hills T stop and the Green Street T stop, both on the Orange line.

People who are under 21 sometimes wonder if they can come to the mic. Nope. It's inside a bar, so you can't come in unless you have ID.

​

People who are thinking about doing an open mic for the first time sometimes call to find out if they need to do anything ahead of time. Nope. Just bring your jokes and there will be a sign up when you get there. 

​

People who do something besides comedy sometimes wonder if they can perform at the mic. Yep. It's usually 2 songs, or 5-8 minute sets. There will be a quarter inch jack running to the PA ready for you to plug into. Singing over a phone or laptop? Bring your adapter!

​

Sometimes people who are new to performing are super awkward, and that's totally great. Sometimes however, amateur performers think it will be hilarious to pretend that they are overtly racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, full of hate, etc. This doesn't happen a lot, but it really, really sucks when it does. If the hosts or the audience can't tell, instantly, whether you're being edgy or you're merely a horrible person, you will be asked to leave and perhaps asked not to return. This mic is a safe place, free from violence, and is fully committed to anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ support, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
